PIA is the power-user pick. Open-source apps, the most granular settings of any major VPN (cipher choice, handshake choice, port choice — most people don't need this, but some do), unlimited connections, and a US-based no-logs claim that has actually been tested in court (FBI subpoena, 2016 — they had nothing to hand over). The 5-eyes jurisdiction is technically the worst on paper, but the court precedent is real. Best value at $39.95/yr.
